Choon Fu holds a PhD from the School of Pharmacy, University College London (UCL). He is a senior lecturer in Pharmaceutical Technology in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia since April 2016. He is currently leading 'Goh Skin Research Group' for mucosal and (trans)dermal drug delivery and formulation design. His current research interest focuses on developing functional biomaterials for pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical delivery.

Choon Fu works actively with local industries for topical and transdermal formulation development. In 2022, he joins the editorial board of International Journal of Cosmetic Sciences and later in 2023, the editorial board for Young Scholars of Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis and the Young Investigator Editorial Board of European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics.
